Service/Maintenance Update

Unfortunately, due to lack of staff, we have suspended routine maintenance (checking/cleaning/sweeping) of wood-burning fireplaces, stoves, and inserts. We hope to resume these services in the future as staffing allows. We are currently offering service on gas fireplaces, stoves, and inserts to our existing customers only.

Design and Installation Services

We assist our clients in selecting fireplaces, inserts, fronts, and stoves that blend harmoniously with their homes, while meet their heating needs and aesthetic desires.

Complete installation services are included with the purchase of wood, gas, and pellet units. Installation includes appropriate venting, lining, gas and electrical connections, thermostats, and remotes, as necessary. Clients are shown the proper operation and maintenance of our products, to leave them feeling comfortable and safe.

Upon completion of installation of one of our units, you will be able to enjoy the beauty and heat of fire, be it wood or gas burning.

If your existing fireplace is in need of a makeover with new doors, or a new mantel, we offer custom-made doors, screens, and mantels from Stoll. Meticulously hand-crafted, Stoll doors can transform a fireplace’s appearance dramatically. Click here to learn more about existing front updates

We do not offer installation services for products purchased elsewhere.

Maintenance for Woodburning

Our general recommendation for wood burning units is that they be checked and swept either annually, or after burning a full cord of wood, which ever comes first. However, with many high-efficiency and clean-burning fireplace options, annual cleaning may not be necessary. The best time to consider having your chimney checked and cleaned is during the spring or summer months when chimney sweeps and hearth professionals are not as busy. Please consider maintenance of your fireplace, stove, or insert after burning season ends, during the warmer months.

Consult with a reputable chimney sweep to determine if cleaning is necessary.

Maintenance for Gas Burning

Many modern gas burning units are battery-equipped so they may continue to operate in the event of a power failure. Annual replacement of all batteries, including in the unit and in remotes, is recommended. Please follow instructions in your user’s manual to replace batteries and reset the system accordingly.

Regular maintenance also may include cleaning dust and debris from the screen, cleaning the glass if dirty, and resetting logs if they have moved. If the unit is operating normally, no service is necessary.

The best time to have your gas appliance serviced is during the spring or summer when hearth professionals are not as busy. Please schedule regular maintenance during the warmer months when you are not using your fireplace, stove, or insert. That way it will be ready to go when the weather turns cooler in the fall.

Due to staffing shortages, we are currently only servicing our existing gas customers.

Chimney Lining

Chimney lining is part of the installation process for new fireplaces, stoves, and inserts. We use U.L. listed stainless steel liner systems for wood burning units and aluminum liner systems for gas units.

We do not offer relining of existing masonry fireplaces.

Masonry Restoration

Masonry restoration was an integral part of our business initially. We took great pride in our meticulous restoration of chimneys. We excelled at tuckpointing, which is the process of removing loose or old mortar and replacing it with new to match. We were careful to identically match mortar and bricks for a seamless look.

Although masonry was an integral part of our business originally, we no longer offer those services.
